Hello, my name is Wally Xie, and I am a computational scientist and applied statistician currently finishing up a doctoral program at the University of California, Irvine in the lab of Dr. Steven D. Allison (great advisor, by the way!). Modestly more info about me is available in the “About” section of this site. My thesis research sits at the intersection of the sub-fields of terrestrial biogeochemistry (focusing on the influence of soil microbes on climate) and probabilistic numerics (regarding Bayesian inference on mathematical models). I will be adding more to this website at some point. May we all emerge from this period with better appreciation and empathy for each other. Take care.
